Celebrity Style Candy

Mena Suvari looks ski girl chic in her black & white ensemble while Sarah Michelle is sleek & sophisticated in her black & white Harve Lager body-hugging dress.

I think Ellen Pompeo looks beautiful in white - it's a big boob bow, but she pulls it off.
Julianne Moore in a great little grey dress and some way cute shoes!

Somehow, Paris Hilton showed up at most of the parties during the Sundance Film Festival, but she does like to party. It's a cute dress, but my fave part of this picture is the paparazzo in the back looking so blown away by her that he forgot that he was supposed to take a picture NOT look stupid in one.
Diane Kruger
with a pop of yellow to her LBD.

I don't know how, but Blake Lively makes this granny-like look work.
Drop dead gorgeous Charlize Theron - I am copying this.
I think I would kill for that emerald Zac Posen dress of Diane Lane's. Just kidding, but it's so perfect.

Christy Turlington is fab as usual in a low-cut LBD with her hottie Edward Burns from 27 Dresses (GO SEE THAT MOVIE NOW. I INSIST!)
LOVE those red boots and the coats and the hats... (Olivia Wilde & Megalyn Echikunwoke)

Whoa.

This is so shocking to me...

Heath Ledger found dead in NYC at age 28

NEW YORK - Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday at a downtown Manhattan residence, and police said drugs may have been a factor. He was 28. NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the Manhattan apartment believed to be his home. The housekeeper who went to let him know the masseuse had arrived found him dead at 3:26 p.m.

A large crowd of paparazzi and gawkers began gathering Tuesday evening outside the building on an upscale block in SoHo, where several police officers guarded the door.

The Australian-born actor was nominated for an Oscar for "Brokeback Mountain," where he met Michelle Williams in 2005. The two had lived in Brooklyn and had a daughter, Matilda, until they split up last year.

I want...

... these L.A.M.B. shoes. Gwen Stefani rocks.

Daizy, $294.95

Darrel, $334.95

Daniella, $294.95

I want...

... to always remember to think about life in this way.
A friend of mine sent this to me today, and it was just what I needed at just the right time. Hope it makes you blessed ladies out there who read my blog as happy as it made me!
xoxo,
gg

Someone will always be prettier, skinnier, smarter or their houses will be bigger. Some may even drive a better car, their children do better in school or their husbands fix more things around the house...
Let it go; love youself and your circumstances. Think about it! The prettiest woman in the world can have hatred in her heart. The most highly favored woman on your job may be unable to have children. The richest woman you know might have the car, the house, the clothes and might also be lonely.

As the word says, 'If I have not loved, I am nothing.' So, again, love youself. Love who you are. Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say, 'I am too Blessed to be Stressed and too Anointed, to be Disappointed!' 'Winners make things happen. Losers let things happen.'

Be 'Blessed' Ladies and pass this on to encourage another woman. You might consider yourself just another person, but to the one person you just sent this to, it could mean so much.'

I send it to all of you ladies! gg

Cleaning out my closet

I had a rare weekend this past weekend.

I actually stayed at my own apartment and got to enjoy it by myself.

I know that sounds a bit anti-social, but I have been running my tail off, and it's so nice to take a break from everything. I did have a great visit with my mom and sis on Saturday, and then I retired to my apartment for some major laundry (I hadn't done laundry in like a month, but because of my obsession with Victoria's Secret, I did not run out of underwear) As Saturday night rolled around, I lounged around in my BCBG velour sweats, went to Blockbuster and rented The Nanny Diaries, opened a bottle of Sauv. Blanc and had a wonderful night to myself. I truly think you need those every once in a while, especially when life is crazy and things happen to you that you don't understand. The Nanny Diaries was the perfect rental - much better than the book.

Sunday brought a trip to church (and a renewal of my baptism!) then I spent all afternoon at home cleaning out my closet. Thanks to View from the Porch, I had the perfect plan, and I feel so much better knowing what's in my closet and thinning out the stuff that I don't wear.

I would strongly encourage you to do the same - it makes you feel so good and you can find out about all the clothes you have been forgetting! Plus, it just is so wonderful to see a clean closet!

I need to stop spending money - I made it to the outlet malls the other day and brought home three pairs of high quality cute shoes (they were only $20 a piece for designer shoes!) and a timeless black sheath dress from BCBG for $33 as well as an adorable red jacket for $40. I figure I should end my shopping with some great purchases!

Happy Closet Cleaning,

Celeb Style Candy

I like Katie Holmes bangs a bit side-swept like in that first picture, but the shot makes it appear that she is wearing a toga. I would love to have that red trench.

These two are now with baby! Keith Urban + Nicole Kidman = one cute baby.

I like Mandy Moore, and I really enjoy that shiny outfit.
Kyra Sedgwick received best-dressed honors at the Critics' Choice Awards in a flashy red Oscar de la Renta. What do you think of it?

A fun white dress for Hilary Swank. (See the movie P.S. I Love You if you haven't already - it is a GREAT movie, but bring your tissues because it is sad - with a happy ending.)
Judy Greer plays wedding again - first with JLo in Wedding Planner and now with K. Heigl in 27 Dresses (which I must see!)

Katherine Heigl - I just love that dress - it would have been perfect for the holidays!

Brittany Snow in Roberto Cavalli (I just loved her in the TV series American Dreams).
Drew Barrymore looking snazzy in Pucci!

Carrie Underwood in Betsey Johnson and a bit of Ellen Page, star of comedy Juno, which I want to see but haven't yet. I might wait for it to go to DVD.
