Boots!!!

1. Kate Hudson 2. Sarah Michelle Geller 3. Gwyneth Paltrow
Kate Hudson: Grey is big, and I am in love with her outfit and those luscious boots. Must. have. them.
Sarah Michelle: Must admit I have a slight obsession with these cute buckles.
Gwyneth Paltrow: We must not forget wearing boots under jeans, too!

1. Hilary Duff 2. Ashley Olsen 3. Sophie Ellis
Hilary Duff: I particularly like the way this little fashionista's boots curve up in the middle. If I had some good money, those shoes would be a good investment.
Ashley Olsen: Doesn't she look darling?! I want a pair of Wellies. I especially enjoy the new ones with cool patterns.
Sophie Ellis: PINK = too cute (notice grey, too - it's HOTT)

1. Carmen Electra 2. Kelly Ripa
Carmen Electra: I am totally not a fan of Carmen E. (I see her, and all I think is F.A.K.E.), but those boots I like!
Kelly Ripa: I kinda think the girl needs to put on some pounds as she usually has a major case of collar-bone-and-sternum-jutting-out, but this FABULOUS jacket disguises that a bit. Her boots just make this outfit superfab, but is that a brown bag next to her black boots?

So, fellow shoppers, what do you think of these boots? Do you own any? I admittedly need more - I only have a pair of English riding boots that I have had forever because I used to use them while actually riding a horse... Sadly, I don't get to use them for that much anymore, but they pretty much rock since they are in style.

Alice Temperley hits Target

I know, I am so stylish with my words. :)

I do love many pieces of the newest less expensive designer line at Target. I am looking at getting all of these cute pieces! Click the pictures to see the items online at Target.com. Not only do they have this really fun little animated show, but it also has great customer reviews so you can gain more insight into what the look & feel of the fabric is.

I can't help it. I love Target and their good deals.

I actually want to go right now, but I won't. I have too much work stuff to do after being gone for 5 days. Oh, sigh. Shopping will have to wait.

Back from Texas!

Sorry, Ladies, but I just returned from a wonderful week in Texas and will post more now that I have more access to the Internet. Here are a few pics from our great trip!

Toronto Film Festival Hits/Misses

Oh, Brangelina. They look good, but I have to wonder sometimes about how often Angelina Jolie wears grey. She's hot in any color, so add some pizazz!
Rachel Leigh Cook: MISS - I must admit I loved her in that teeny bopper movie a while ago, but this dress and hair just makes her look so old.

Cate Blanchett: ??? In ways, I like this dress; in others, I hate it. What do you think?
Liv Tyler: MISS - She is such a beautiful girl; I just wish she would do a better job of showing it.

Jennifer Garner: HIT - I love this adorable dress, and the Ben Affleck-lover is always beautiful. I might wear some cuter shoes though; that dress begs for them.
Keira Knightly: HIT - Love her hair like that, and that's a nice simple top.

Maggie Grace & Maria Bellow: Semi-HIT & MISS - I love that grey corseted dress for some reason, but the V in the middle makes it a little bit weird. The feather dress is just somewhat hideous to me. Leave the feathers for the birds. I have never seen anyone look good in some of their own.

Product Review: Neutrogena Mineral Foundation

So, ladies, I did jump on the mineral powder train, but it wasn't because I had this burning desire to do so. You see, sometimes I am lazy in the morning, and I just do my makeup at work (after getting there early, of course!). One such morning, I was within 5 miles of my office (I commute - 30 miles each way), and I realized that I had forgotten my makeup at HOME!!!!

Now, you must first understand that I DON'T go without makeup. I must at the very least have mascara, a touch of gloss and a bit of concealer. Alas, I did not keep these essentials in my ginormous purse so I was SOL. Never fear, with my extra 20 minutes before worktime, I slipped into Walgreens and bought an emergency makeup set of Neutrogena minerals (it was buy one, get one 1/2 off!).

I am SO happy with it. It was the best makeup day of my life!

Pros: No mess (no creamy foundation fingers, no powder all over the place - just shake the brush on your face and Voila!), fairly inexpensive, better for your skin, mattifying, lasts a long time
Cons: The application system is confusing at first (but you just have to use the brush all over your face using a shaking motion - I am a pro now!), not as much coverage as regular foundation (but I like just a tint)
Grade: A+
Where to buy: most drugstores and discount stores, Amazon.com ($7), drugstore.com ($12)

Much to say about shopping.

When women are depressed, they either eat or go shopping. Men invade another country. It's a whole different way of thinking.

Celeb fashions

1. Sarah Jessica Parker 2. Thandie Newton 3. Hilary Swank 4. Eva Longoria

1. Jessica Alba 2. Micha Barton 3. Nicole Richie

I am totally digging all the black & white! Those strapless items on the top row are just so darn classy that I don't know which one I like the best. That red on Eva's dress really makes it pop. As for the long dresses, Jessica Alba rocks that dress, Micha always look great, and Nicole is adorable all lovely & prego.

Rockin' Girl Bloggers

I was SO excited when I saw that my fashion-forward blogger buddy gave me a rockin' girl blogger award. I smiled from ear-to-ear all the day because of it. Jennifer's blog is amazing and so much fun, and I feel so special to have received this award from her. Here are my five picks!
1. Jennifer of Maholo Fashion World: Seriously, she really rocks, and sends some traffic my way through her blog - i love her attitude and outlook on life and fashion.
2. Sarah of Front Porch Rocker: Her real-life posts just make you feel like you are there with her - you want to laugh, you want to cry - she really knows how to write, and I just love her as a person!
3. Dana of It's a Wonderful Life: LOVE her Love It or Leave It posts, and she is just the sweetest gal!
4. New Girl: I may not be a mom, but the way this girl writes about her life as a mom is amazing and hilarious - it gives my day a much needed jolt when I visit her blog.
5. Juliet of Fashion Lolita: I just adore all her little extras like Model of the Week and Look of the Week, and her posts are so enjoyable to read.

YOU GIRLS ROCK!!

I am back!

I have been sick for a little bit (sick with allergies, sick of work, sick of being way too busy), and I let you fabulous fashionistas down, but I will be posting more often now that I feel a bit better, and work & life are not kicking me in the butt so much. Hugs to you all! xoxo, gg
